How does it work?

The ICMBio Noronha Volunteer Program welcomes people from all over Brazil. Each participant will work mainly in a specific thematic area, according to their experiences and the profile presented. These areas are defined during the selection process and include visitation, scientific research, communication, among others. Despite this, it is worth remembering that the transition and participation in activities in other areas are extremely important and can happen several times during the program.

The workload is 40 hours per week spread over six days within a work schedule, with one day off per week. In addition, all volunteers dedicate a few hours to internal activities at the accommodation, such as lunch, kitchen organization, maintenance, cleaning, and event support.

What are my duties as a participant?

Those selected to participate in the Volunteer Program at ICMBio Noronha must:

  • Bear the cost of travel from the place of origin to Recife or Natal;

  • Knowing how to live in a group;

  • Commitment to the assumed activities;

  • Exercise punctuality and proactivity;

  • Ensure the safety of personnel, staff, equipment, accommodation, and materials available;

  • Respect the rules for the use of institutional accommodations.

What does ICMBio offer?

During your participation in the Volunteer Program at ICMBio Noronha, the agency offers:
